About Us

Mooch Designs is a boutique business established in 2006, that operates from the beautiful town of Geelong, Victoria, Australia. Our products are handmade using carefully selected unique and quality designer fabrics.

The idea grew when Mooch Designs founder Caroline Hutton, completed her home extension and it went well over budget. Instead of purchasing expensive art to decorate her home, she handmade fabric wall art to coordinate with her interior decor in the master bedroom, the kids bedrooms and the living areas and so the on-line store evolved.

Ten years later I was thrilled to take on this amazing business, due to my passion and obsession with fabrics and cushions! Throughout my working life I have been working with fabrics, firstly as a seamstress, then as a consultant in window treatments and the soft furnishings industry. Then later studying interior design.

Mooch Designs gives me the opportunity to combine all my experience.

Quality is paramount throughout the business, from the fabric selection to completion. Along with myself, Holly Gibson continues to be our amazing and dedicated sewer, producing only quality made products.

Mooch Designs uses many homegrown Australian designer fabrics, we also use imported fabrics from England, America and Japan.

We sell products to home owners, tenants, home sellers, interior designers, display home stylists and specialist shops. Many products are custom made for our clients.

Our couches are a steel grey colour, so the red and other colours really works well. You never can be sure how things will look when you haven't seen them for yourself but the photos gave a very accurate indication of the depth and tone of colours, hence I was confident.
